HOUSING DEVELOPMENT 'BOSPOLDER'

A project that consists of 95 dwellings, both apartments as groundbounded houses.

Though the whole project consists of 20 different types, a strong coherence in appearance is taken care for. The surroundings consist of highdensity 19th century housing, in the west of Rotterdam, with a very strong social context. All the inhabitants already lived in the neighbourhood for many years.

This emphasis gets its shape by organising the floorplan in such a way that direct visual contact from inside to outside is possible.

Together with the windowopenings, smaller ones alternating with facadewide big ones, and the integration of the entrance with a little terrace in front of the house, the continuing of this social background was made possible for the future.
